Amar Singh Chamkila is an Indian Hindi language film of 2024 that describes the life and mysterious death of a famous Punjabi Singh Chamkila. The Amar Singh Chamkila film is directed, produced, and co-written by the same person and famous Bollywood director, Imtiaz Ali.

Chamkila belonged to a poor Dalit family in Punjab. In his youth despite having a profound passion for music creation, Chamkila had to work in a socks manufacturing company to fight against poverty and for the fulfillment of basic life needs. He begins to write brash musical lyrics for the local Punjabi singer Jinda.

Jinda uses his potential talent for his purposes by not giving specific credit for the lyrics to Amar Singh Chamkila. But rather using his name as the creator of these autonomous lyrics the story turns when once Jinda gets late. Chamika is allowed to sing in front of the audience. After the event, he became famous with the title Chamkila means shining.
