Plot & Summary

The Fighter film contains a traditional backlash between Pakistan and India, marking the story of assessing an upcoming attack on Indian soil and Indian preparation to counter this attack at any cost. Indian forces get a piece of information regarding a terrorist attack being planned by a Pakistani terrorist organization working from Pakistan.

Azhar Akhtar, leader of the organization, plans to target the Srinagar Air Force Station base of the Indian Air Force. To counter the challenge one fighter combat group is formed including Shamsher “Patty” Pathania, Minal “Minni” Rathore, Sartaj”Taj” Gill, Sukhdeep “Sukhi” Singh along with Basheer “Bash” Khan. While training to counter the attack, team members develop a mutual bond, making Minni fall for Patty.

Patty doesn’t respond well because of the death of his fiance in an operational accident. Finally, the attack begins and the forces retaliate, injuring and killing many of the terrorists inside and outside the Pakistan territory.

Casting

Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan play the roles in the cast of the film both were somehow as officially cast members in January 2021. Roshan plays the role of Patty, a young pilot officer who is also shown as a short-tempered officer. Padukone is also portrayed as a young, dashing, and courageous character who can make correct decisions at the right time. Both characters also join martial arts training courses before being part of the special army unit for tackling the enemy’s positions. In December 2021, a legendary Bollywood face, Anil Kapoor joined the film.

Releasing & Box office collection

The teaser appeared on 8 December 2023 for the first time. The film’s official trailer was released on 15 January 2024 and immediately started trending on social media and YouTube. After ten days of Indian Republic Day, the film was released. Later, it was decided by the authorities to release the movie on the particular event of Republic Day of India. Overall, the film was a success earning the amount of 337.2 crore by spending the amount of 250- crore. The film was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide.

Ending of Fighter Film

The film turns into the Indian fighter pilots’ victory based upon their guerilla tactics and use of their air fighting spirit. Their mutual bonds as joint teammates also not only protect them but it give them the power to counter the challenges they face during the battle. They attack the city of Balakot, in the Pakistani province of KPK, leading terrorist deals with many casualties.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan army launches a counterattack in Indian territory, and on their way back, the Indian fighter squadron, Patty, Taj, and Bash cross the border, violating the orders of Rocky. Pakistani fighters then shot down these planes into Pakistani Territory and arrested the pilots. When India began to prepare for another attack on Pakistan, the Pakistani government announced the return of these pilots as a peace initiative gesture from Pakistan. Though, many news about the torture and murders of Indian pilots invoke the combat team to attack again on Pakistan and rescue the teammates.
